Defrosting at Freezeout Lake, MT - Part 2

Let’s see... we left off in our last post with mention of waterfowl.

In this particular area both the camping and the majority of the auto-tour route are a good ways from the water.  While this is a positive for the wildlife, without a good scope or zoom lens we had to wait for them to come to us.  Thankfully, a few came reasonably close.

   The American White Pelican is quite something with its 8-9 foot wingspan.

        We still can’t get over seeing Pelicans in the middle of Montana.
