Leaving Georgia we made tracks west. There was a bit of exploring involved but mostly it was a bit of the unusual for us (go go go). You see, we had someplace to be and had committed to a particular date. More on that later. For now, here’s some pics from our westward travels.
We went to a swampy’ish Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas.
Some things we saw were... Red Eared Slider
meandered amongst the Cypress Trees
Darlene chased several Leaping Lizards
which turned out to be Leopard Frogs
Despite all that we did see there was still one thing Nicole had set her sights on seeing that we did not see. The Alligator Snapping Turtle is the thing we did not see that we wanted to see.
From a great distance Nicole was convinced she had seen one but a zoom in on the computer revealed it to be swamp trash.
Ah well, there is always next time. We had a great day anyhoo. Speaking of next time, we’ll see you then.
