We settled into a great boondocking spot and intended to stay for a while.
Our view through a frackled windshield.
There were a lot of crabs swimming around.
They would chase each other in circles.
Intended result of the ‘dance’?
Not everything that was wet wanted to be wet.
But it sure made for a less ‘active’ up-close subject. We are happy
to report that after he dried out he flew away.
Who says there aren’t mountain views in Florida?
Something pretty darn sharp this way comes...
You know you’re in the south when? Sweet Gum Balls liter the yard.
Even in a poor quality photo it is obvious that this is a Yellow-rumped Warbler.
You saw the ‘mountain scene’ in the sand... other things were happening too.
Like these trails that left unique patterns.
And these neat little piles of ‘sand balls’.
Crabs form these discarded sediment balls while filtering out the ‘good’ stuff.
Of course there was plenty of...
Live Oak Trees with their beautiful Spanish Moss
Tiny Sneaky Spideys (those white things are grains of sand)
There’s a bit more and we’ll throw it up in the next post. That’s all, for now.
