After wrapping things up in Florida at Nicole’s folks’ place we headed to see Darlene’s parents in Georgia. There weren’t many stops along the way this time around as there were tracks to be made. Now and then when we took a rest we spotted a few wee things.
Kind of looks like a microscopic bouquet which is perfect because we were headed to Georgia for a wedding.
Darlene’s eldest was getting married. The big day was May 2.
It was a beautiful ceremony for Amanda and Lem (Mr. and Mrs. Berry).
We had about a week before the ceremony and a week after. A little more fixin’ here and there with a bit of relaxing mixed in for good measure. The relaxing part was similar to what we did in Florida (minus the pool and waterway, plus several acres of woods and a lake).
Shortly after our arrival, Nicole started spotting new (to us) birds basking in the numerous feeders around the front porch. There were also a few familiar ones mixed in for good measure.
Our amateur status makes female bird identification more difficult than male.
Pretty sure this is the female Cowbird (similar to indigo female in our book).
An Eastern Bluebird looking very ‘angry bird’.
In a one time only, through the window, appearance the Eastern Towhee.
If we told you that this was an Adult Breeding Chipping Sparrow would it sound
like we know what we are talking about?
Solitary (literally) Sandpiper down by the lake
We should get this wrapped and posted. Of course there are more (in the yard) shots from Georgia. We’ll get to them as soon as we can.
Goodbye for now...
