Montana.

Given that we are on the road our posts will now be days or weeks behind.  So, if you think we are somewhere we probably aren’t.

On our second day we crossed the line into Montana.  It was a little tricky because it consisted of turkeys.  Truth.  There was a line of turkeys spread across the Hwy 2 Idaho / Montana state line.  It looked something like this...

Thankfully, they momentarily parted ways to let us change both states and time zones.

Shortly thereafter we stopped at the Kootenai Falls Overlook and walked around.

                                  We saw some familiar things.

We saw some things that were new (Kootenay River and swinging bridge).

The bridge crosses the river.  According to a man we met
”it used to be just one board with a few cables and it
would really swing!”

Now it just sort of sways, wobbles and bounces.

Sway, wobble, bounce with an inch crack between boards thrown in for good measure.

The views were not too bad either.

Alas, we were actually trying to get somewhere.  To do that we had to keep driving.

This is almost the place we were trying to get.

                                         See you next post!
